The first specimen was lot 72325 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2020), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Peso, 1947-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details Gold Shield. A boldly struck example of this low mintage date with a small patch of hairlines above the eagle's left wing that have resulted in the "Details" grade."
