This type was issued in large numbers 1947-48. A small quantity was made in 1949 but never officially released. Of course, a few got out and are now famous rarities. The next issue of pesos was only .300 fine.

Recorded mintage: 61,460,000.

Specification: 14 g, 0.500 fine silver, 32 mm diameter.
