This specimen was lot 21225 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $1,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 20 Pesos, 1892-MoM. NGC MS-61. Sharply struck, flashy, reflective fields, brilliant and attractive." Shown is an 1892MOM balance scale twenty pesos, of a type struck 1870-1905. This issue from Mexico City is among the more available dates. Other mints include Hermosillo, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanajuato and Alamos.

Recorded mintage: 11,000.

Specification: 33.84 g, 0.875 fine gold, .952 troy oz AGW.
