Mexico 1892-Ca M 10 centavos

from the Stack's Bowers sale of the Kirk Menczer Collection, lot 71259

This specimen was lot 71259 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1892-Ca M. Chihuahua Mint. NGC MS-64. Only example in NGC Census. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." This specimen is a common date of a series struck 1871-74, 1880, 1883-95 at the Chihuahua mint. An 1892 9/inverted 9 variety (9/6?) is reported for the year.

Recorded mintage: 169,000.
