This specimen was lot 11192 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $822. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1865-APG. NGC AU Details--Planchet Flaw, Cleaned." The Alamos mint produced eight reales 1864-95 and most early dates are rare, including this one. Assayer PG is listed for 1864-66.
