This specimen was lot 3534 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $390. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO: Republic, AR 1/2 real, 1854-Ga, assayer JG, a wonderful lustrous example, and the highest graded example at PCGS, PCGS graded MS64." This specimen was struck at the Guadalajara mint in 1854, one of a type struck there 1825-62. Assayer JG is listed for 1842-62.
