This specimen was lot 31278 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $3,360. The catalog description[1] noted, "Charles & Johanna "Late Series" 1/2 Real ND (1542-57) oMo-G AU55 NGC, Mexico City mint. Entirely choice for the issue, exhibiting strong central motifs and legends that are near-complete, surfaces that are free from significant marks or environmental damage and fields that retain original silvery flash. Elusive as a denomination from this first "late series" assayer and very rare in this charming preservation. Selections from the Isaac Rudman Numismatic Cabinet."
