Anselm Francis of Ingelheim (1634-95) succeeded Charles Henry as archbishop of Mainz in 1679. Unlike many of his predecessors, he held no other office. After the French invaded and wrecked his diocese in the 1690's, he moved to Aschaffenburg. This one year type is not priced in the SCWC. One quarter gulden was one-sixth thaler, a denomination that would become popular in the next century.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 4,36 g.
