This specimen was lot 71660 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Lucerne. 40 Kreuzer, 1793. NGC MS-61. A boldly struck coin with pleasing orange to green undertones, exhibiting good eye appeal for the assigned grade." This is a one year type from a canton that rarely issued this denomination. Forty kreuzer = ten batzen = one frank = ¼ thaler.
