This specimen was lot 3361 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (about US$2,114 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Luzern, 12 Münzgulden (Duplone) 1794, Luzern. Mzz. B für Brupacher auf Revers. Schräg geriffelter Rand. Fast vorzüglich. Mehrere kleine Kratzer. (Switzerland, canton of Luzern, duplone of 1794, Luzern mint, obliquely reeded edge. About extremely fine, Some small scratches.)"
This type was struck 1794 and 1796 and is rare. It was equal to the duplone struck in other cantons such as Bern.
