Jamaica 1996 10 cents

Paul Bogle replaced a floral bouquet on the ten cent piece in 1991. In 1995, the coin was reduced in size and converted from nickel plated steel to copper plated steel but Bogle remained. The SCWC lists the type for 1995-96 and 2000. Paul Bogle (1822-65) led a protest against racial discrimination which led to a riot and his trial and execution.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 2.40 g, copper plated steel, 17 mm diameter.
