Jamaica 1986 10 cents

from the Stack's Bowers June 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 73529

This specimen was lot 73529 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $80. The catalog description^[1] noted, "JAMAICA. 10 Cents, 1986. PCGS SPECIMEN-67 Gold Shield. Steely gray and highly brilliant, this specimen exhibits a slight matte nature on account of some rather extensive die polishing. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck at Llantrisant 1969-72, 1975-89 and at the Franklin mint 1971-84. All dates are common.

Recorded Mintage: 21,677,000.
