This five dollar coin was struck at the Royal Mint for Jamaica 1994-2002 and 2006. It is the last in a series of five dollar coins featuring Norman Manley (1893-1969) struck in various modules (KM 59, KM 62, KM 85.1, KM 85.2, KM 108, KM 157) starting in 1972. In January 2015, US$1 = 113 Jamaican dollars. As of December 2024, US$1 = 156 Jamaican dollars, giving this coin a face value of 3 cents.
Recorded mintage: unknown but common.
Specification: 4.3 g, nickel plated steel, 21.5 mm diameter, designed by Jody Clark and Matthew Dent.
