This specimen was lot 75272 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $60. The catalog description[1] noted, "ISRAEL. 5 Agorot, JE 5724 (1963). PCGS MS-69. A remarkable grade for this normally certified type. Not a mark to be seen on the surfaces. Tied for the top Pop in PCGS." This type was struck 1960-75 in moderate numbers but enough were saved that most dates are very cheap.
Recorded mintage: 1,429,000.
Specification: 2.3 g, aluminum-bronze, 17.5 mm diameter.
