This specimen was lot 42256 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 2 Annas, 1934-(C). Calcutta Mint. George V. NGC MS-63." The two annas was struck for George V 1912-30, 1933-36 at Calcutta and Bombay. It replaced an older silver coin. The 1934 was struck only at Calcutta. It is listed with a high catalog value in uncirculated.
Recorded mintage: 7,016,000 plus proofs and restrikes.
