The first specimen was lot 2431 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $99.87. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Edward VII, 1901-1910, AR rupee, 1905(c). PCGS graded MS63." The rupees of Edward VII were struck 1903-10 and most dates are common. Proofs are rare. The Bombay mint contributed another 76,202,000.
Recorded mintage: 51,258,000.
