This specimen was lot 32269 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "British India. Edward VII Proof Restrike Half Rupee 1905-C, Calcutta mint, PF63 NGC, Brilliant white, with deeply mirrored fields and a few very light hairlines." The half rupees of Edward VII were struck 1904-10 and most dates are common. Proofs are rare.
Recorded mintage: 823,000 plus proofs.
