This specimen was lot 42237 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 1/2 Anna Restrike, 1890-(B). Bombay Mint. Victoria. NGC PROOF-64 Red Brown." This type was struck for circulation in 1877 at Bombay and Calcutta. Additional dates (1878-79, 1884, 1890-93) exist but were struck for sale to collectors.
Recorded mintage: unknown but none made for circulation.
