This specimen was lot 1016 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "BRITISH INDIA: Victoria, Empress, 1876-1901, AE ½ anna, 1878(b), restrike, full red except for areas on obverse where mint-applied lacquer has flaked away, Proof, RR." The SCWC lists only 1878(c) and that only in restrikes. Additional proofs were struck 1878-93 but 1877 was the only date struck for circulation.
