This specimen was lot 42362 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $7,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. 10 Rupees Restrike, 1878-(B). Bombay Mint. Victoria. NGC PROOF-62 Cameo. A sharply distinguished 10 Rupees, with deep cameo contrast between device and field and only the most limited instances of actual handling. As such an impressive example, we foresee no shortage of active participants for the present offering." The restrikes are slightly more available than the proof originals. None were issued for circulation.

Recorded mintage: unknown but rare.

Specification: 7.77 g, 0.917 fine gold, reeded edge.
