This specimen was lot 43036 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $552. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Holland. Gulden, 1762. NGC MS-65." This type was struck without change 1703, 1713-16, 1721, 1734-38, 1748-49, 1762-65, 1790-94 and is priced in the SCWC as a common date. Gulden struck prior to 1748 had a plain edge; later dates had reeded edges. One gulden was twenty stuivers. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands.
