This specimen was lot 71751 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Holland. 10 Stuivers (1/2 Gulden), 1748. NGC MS-64+. This beautifully preserved near-Gem examples offers a bold strike with crisp design elements and lovely mottled multi-colored patina adding to its pleasing appearance and originality." This type was struck 1748-51 and 1761-62 but seems to have been less popular than the more available one gulden.

Recorded mintage: 193,090 for 1748-49.

Specification: 5.30 g, .920 fine silver, .156 troy z ASW.
