This specimen was lot 34037 in Heritage sale 3106 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Holland. Provincial Silver 2 Ducat 1693 AU53 NGC. A boldly rendered representative of this heavy issue showcasing minimal highpoint wear and a pleasing flip-over double strike effect appreciable in both obverse and reverse." Altho the SCWC lists this as a pattern, double silver ducats are attested for several dates and provinces. They were struck for presentation. The regular silver ducat of this style (KM 52.1) was struck 1672-74, 1679-84, 1693-95 and 1734-35 and is fairly common.
