This specimen was lot 30168 in Heritage sale 3107 (Chicago, May 2023), where it sold for $6,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Holland. Provincial gold 5 Stuivers 1692 MS63 NGC. A lustrous Choice Mint State off-metal strike in deeply gratifying, tangerine toned gold of the silver 5 Stuivers type (KM70). Rare and highly attractive, these off-metal strikes are more likely presentation coins than true patterns. From the Coenen Collection." The five stuivers was worth a quarter gulden. This type was struck 1692 only; the six stuivers or scheepjesschelling seems to have superseded it.
