This specimen was lot 74645 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler Feinsilber), 1795-PLM. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of England). PCGS MS-63. Extraordinarily Choice and vibrant, this elegant minor offers an enchanting wildman depiction along with a great deal of brilliance surrounding the coat-of-arms. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1793-1800 to the convention thaler standard (one thaler = 120 kreuzer).
