This specimen was lot 74579 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 24 Mariengroschen (2/3 Taler), 1782-CES. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg III (George III of England). PCGS AU-55. On the cusp of Mint State, with significant luster remaining and very little in the way of true wear, but some evidence of a light prior cleaning accounting for the assigned grade. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1762-84 for George III along with KM 341, with a shield obverse/value reverse.
