This specimen was lot 2562 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$133 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum, Georg Ludwig (Georg I.), 1698-1727. 1/3 Taler 1723, Clausthal. Feinsilber. Mit der Münzmeistersignatur HCB. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Kleine Kratzer (Very rare, Very fine, Small scratches)." This type was struck 1719-25. Other issues of this denomination issued in this period include a bust obverse (KM 110, no 1723), wild man (KM 111 and KM 163, 1723-EPH) and St. Andrew reverse (KM 145, no 1723).
