This specimen was lot 70543 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover. 1/3 Taler, 1724-HCB. George Ludwig (1698-1727). NGC MS-61. Good strike with lovely tone and strong underlying luster." This type (KM 145) was struck 1719-27. Contemporaneous with this is KM 146 (leaping stallion) struck 1719-25, KM 163 (EPH) struck 1723-27, KM 111 struck 1716-23, and KM 110 (bust obverse) struck 1716-27.
