This specimen was lot 74549 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 6 Mariengroschen (1/6 Taler), 1708. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg Ludwig (George I of Great Britain). PCGS AU-53. Although lightly worn as noted by the grade, this example offers engaging subtle hues of plum and dark cerulean on both the obverse and reverse. A delightful minor. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1699-1711. A six mariengroschen with St. Andrew on the reverse (KM 56) exists for 1708-09 but has mintmaster's initials HB.
