This specimen was lot 55566 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $80. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 24 Mariengroschen, 1708. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg I Ludwig (future George I of Great Britain). About Uncirculated Details -- Cleaned. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection. Ex: Emporium Hamburg Auction 128, Lot 2735." This type was struck 1698-1711 and is common. In 1714, Georg Ludwig ascended the throne of Great Britain and all the Hanoverian coinage was revised to show his new title the next year.
