This specimen was lot 55573 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Brunswick-Luneburg: Hannover. 6 Mariengroschen, 1709. Zellerfeld Mint. Georg I Ludwig (future George I of Great Britain). PCGS AU-55. From the Robert C. Knepper Collection." This type was struck 1699-1711 without mintmark and is fairly common. A six mariengroschen with St. Andrew on the reverse (KM 56) exists for 1708-09 but has mintmaster's initials HB. Six mariengroschen was one sixth of a thaler or a quarter gulden.
