This specimen was lot 50117 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $535. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hamburg. 20 Mark, 1913-J. NGC MS-64." This type is common and was struck 1893-1913. The Hamburg mint is still in operation, striking coins for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Recorded mintage: 491,000.

Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.
