Stack's Bowers November 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 77247
SB1125-77247r.jpg

This specimen was lot 77247 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Hamburg. 32 Schilling (2 Mark), 1733-IHL. Hamburg Mint. Karl VI. NGC MS-64. From the G. L. Hermann Collection." This 32 schilling, listed for 1748-61, traded for two-thirds of a thaler. Altho it is about the size of a mid-nineteenth century vereinsthaler, it is considered too small to be a true thaler and so is excluded from the Davenport listings.

Recorded mintage: 110,000.

Specification: 18.32 g, 0.750 fine silver.

Catalog reference: KM-384.
