This specimen was lot 3798 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 3,000 CHF (about US$3,794 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Hamburg, Stadt Doppeldukat 1734. Titel Karl VI. Fast vorzüglich-vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Hamburg, double ducat of 1734, in the name of Charles VI. choice extremely fine to extremely fine.)"
It was offered again as lot 887 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it did not sell. This type is listed for 1713-40 but is rare.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
