Sincona sale 86, lot 1773

This specimen was lot 1773 in Sincona sale 86 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,077 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof Gold Pound 2007, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Obverse portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Reverse design by Edwina Ellis, a representation of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Nur 1'112 Exemplare geprägt, Mit Originaletui und Zertifikat. Only 1,112 pieces struck, NGC PF69 ULTRA CAMEO. With original box and certificate. No. 155 of 1,112 sets."

Other one pound coins for 2007 included KM 1059 (Egyptian Arch bridge) and KM 1090 (silver Britannia).

Recorded mintage: 26,180,160 plus 38,215 proofs in brass, 20,000 proofs in silver, 1,500 proofs in gold.

Specification: 9.5 g, nickel-brass, 22.5 mm diameter or 9.5 g, 0.925 fine silver or 19.61 g, 0.917 fine gold. This specimen 19.62 g.
