This specimen was lot 71546 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, 1997. Llantrisant Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. A nearly flawless example with hard mirror fields and frosty devices." This type was struck 1985-97 for sale to collectors and did not circulate altho some show signs of mishandling.
