This specimen was lot 51122 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $1,020. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1956. London Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-66 Deep Cameo. Supremely enticing and enchanting, this specimen represents the finest of just three proofs seen at PCGS for the date. Highly attractive and worthy of a strong bid." The Elizabeth II sixpence was introduced in 1953 and redesigned in 1954 to drop "BRITT OMN" from the obverse and struck in that form until 1970. Proofs are rare.
