This specimen was lot 41753 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Florin, 1886. London Mint. Victoria. NGC AU Details--Cleaned." This type was struck 1848-87 in reasonable quantities in an attempt to decimalize the currency (one pound = ten florins). This subtype was issued 1877-87.

Recorded mintage: 592,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 11.31 g, 0.925 fine silver, 28.3 mm diameter.
