This specimen was lot 71084 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Penny, 1886. Victoria. NGC MS-62 Brown. Bun Head Variety. A softly lustrous and pleasing example of the type, with decent strike and dark brown patina throughout." This type was struck 1874-94 and most dates, including this one, are common.

Recorded mintage: 8,586,000 plus proofs.
