This specimen was lot 2718 in Goldberg sale 91 (Los Angeles, June 2016), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Halfcrown, 1705 NGC VF25. Queen Anne. Plumes in angles. Toned. NGC graded VF-25." Half crowns were minted for queen Anne 1703-14 and some of the later dates are fairly common in circulated condition. This subtype of 1704-05 is rather scarce. In 1706, two roses would substitute for two of the plumes on the reverse.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 15.05 g, 0.925 fine silver.
