This specimen was lot 75503 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Groat (2 Pence), 1677. London Mint. Charles II. PCGS MS-64. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1668-84; overdates and varieties abound. The 1679 is the most common date.
