Germany 1929-E 3 mark KM-60
This specimen was lot 2913 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €220 (about US$303 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"WEIMARER REPUBLIK, 3 Reichsmark 1929 E. Lessing. Kl. Kratzer, polierte Platte. Aus der Sammlung Jürgen und Erika Schmidt, Bovenden. Erworben von der Münzhandlung M. Kupersky, Wetzlar. (Germany, Weimar Republic, three mark of 1929, Lessing bicentennial. Light hairlines, proof.)"
This type, issued 1929, was struck in some numbers in Berlin ("A"), Munich ("D"), Muldenhutten ("E", shown here), Stuttgart ("F"), Karlsruhe ("G") and Hamburg ("J"). It is among the more available of the Weimar commemoratives.
