Sincona sale 47, lot 2728

This specimen was lot 2728 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$360 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND, Stadt und Kanton Genf, Achteltaler 1624, Genf. Mzz. G - R. Gutes sehr schön. (city and canton of Geneva, one-eighth thaler of 1624, Geneva mint. Good very fine.)"

This one-eighth thaler, struck 1624-26, was worth twelve sols.
