This specimen was lot 7027 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Frankfurt. Kreuzer, 1866. Free City. PCGS MS-67+. A lovely Gem with full silky luster and a hint of toning." This type was struck 1862-66. Frankfurt was annexed to Prussia in that year and her coinage ceased, altho the mint operated until 1878. Other coinage for 1866 included a three kreuzer (KM 367), six kreuzer (KM 374) and double thaler (KM 365).
