This specimen was lot 1715 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $30. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Obol, ND (1467). Louis XI, 1461-1483. Royal issue. Crown. Reverse: Long cross. PCGS graded Very Fine Detail (Environmental Damage)." This is the second issue of this denomination; the first had a lily, not a crown. The obol was half a denier, already a denominatoin too small to be useful.

Specification: 0.81 g, 0.053 fine silver.
