This specimen was lot 1713 in Goldberg sale 128 (Los Angeles, June 2022), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "France. Liard au Dauphin, undated (1467). Billon. Louis XI, 1461-1483. The only one graded at PCGS. PCGS graded AU-50." The liard au dauphin was worth three deniers tournois. It was pushed aside in the sixteenth century by the double tournois but was revived as a copper coin during the reign of Louis XIV.
