This specimen was lot 33747 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $870. The catalog description[1] noted, "Egypt: United Arab Republic gold Proof 'Jeweled Cat' 50 Pounds AH 1415 (1994) PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC. Coin alignment." This NCLT was one of a series issued to honor ancient Egyptian art treasures. Wikipedia comments, "Bastet or Bast (Ancient Egyptian: bꜣstt)...is a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion, ...worshipped as early as the Second Dynasty (2890 BC). In ancient Greek religion, she was known as Ailuros (Koinē Greek: αἴλουρος, lit. 'cat')."
