This specimen was lot 70415 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 50 Pounds, 1999. Franklin Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Statue of Ramses II. Likely a SCARCE issue, as the last American auction record was Goldberg sale 44 (February 2008), lot 3856." This NCLT was one of a series issued to honor ancient Egyptian art treasures. The Franklin Mint ceased coining in 1985, so this was likely made elsewhere.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 11.80 g, 0.900 fine gold, 26 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: Fr-269 (formerly Fr-181); KM-921.
