Denmark 1670 krone Dav-3582
This specimen was lot 10261 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €1,440 (about US$1,501). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Krone, 1670. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik III. NGC AU-58. Rare date in excellent condition. From the L. E. Bruun Collection. Ex: Countship of Brahesminde Collection (Private Sale-1922)." This is the final date of a type struck 1666-70. Frederick III died in 1670 and all the coinage was redesigned for his successor Christian V. One krone was four mark or two-thirds speciedaler.
