from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10233

This specimen was lot 10233 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €264 (about US$275). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Mark, 1660. Frederik III. NGC AU Details--Cleaned. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1658-61. Two mark was half a krone or one-third speciedaler.

Specification: 9.72 g, 0.671 fine silver, 33.2 mm diameter, this specimen 10.82 g.
